Sagar

Sagar was born on the 26th June 2010 and was 1 of 10 (7 dogs & 3 bitches). All the pups from the litter were very nice indeed, making it really difficult to choose our pup. We decided to keep a dog as we had always kept bitches in the past and wanted a change and new challenge. We havn't been disapointed with our choice as from the very first day all sagar wants to do is please us. He is proving to be easy to train and is so biddable with us and other dogs. He just takes everything in his stride and nothing seems to phase him in anyway.

Although Sagar was bred to work we have decided to show him at a few kennel club and working whippet shows as he seems to enjoy being around people and other dogs. We recently shown him for the very first time and his tail never stopped wagging (even in the ring!!). At the time of writing Sagar is just over 8 months old, we have taken him ferreting a few times to get him steady with the working ferrets and to get him ready for his first season which starts in september. Early indications are very encouraging, he's took to ferreting like a duck to water and has no interest at all in the working ferrets. He just follows them on top of the rabbits warrens waiting for the rabbits to bolt. Obviously Sagar is far to young to chase rabbits, he has just held them in the longnets and pursenets until we can get to them.
